Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting
- Extensive relevant experience
Preferred Requirements:
- BCom Degree in Accounting
Core Responsibilities:
- Control over and collection of all arrears and outstanding debts for residential, business, industrial consumers and sundry debtors by enforcing Council's Credit Control Policy and the Civil Procedure Act, of the Magistrate Court Act for the Greater Alberton
- Attend to enquires from the public, attorneys, financial institutions, and other departments
- Relieve for Control Officer for Judicial Collection
- Administration of accounting functions for section
- Supervision of all functions relating to income section
- Attend to audit queries within the income section
- Balancing of general ledger votes
- Execution of additional tasks given by the Area Manager
